This afternoon I am giving a 4 hour webinar (4 CEUs) with Healthy Seminars, entitled ‘Acupuncture for childhood and teen anxiety‘. I do not know of a better way of helping anxious children than with acupuncture. It can transform a child’s life from being difficult to enjoyable. In the webinar, I will discuss what makes a child anxious, how we should go about making a diagnosis and how to treat effectively. Anxiety levels in children were high pre-Covid. They are now even higher. As acupuncturists, we are in a position to really be able to help and make a difference. It is my wish that more practitioners feel confident and competent to do that.

I wanted to alert you to my upcoming webinar this Saturday. It is a three hour webinar for practitioners, but also interested parents, titled “The Importance of Nurturing the Young to raise healthy, happy children.” This short introduction interview with Lorne Browne, of Healthy Seminars (who are hosting the webinar) will tell you all you need to know about it.
It’s less than two weeks to go now before the start of my online course, TCM and the teenage years. In this four part webinar, I will discuss the many ways in which teenagers benefit from acupuncture, and how to go about treating them.
For many reasons, being an adolescent in the early 21st century is not easy, and our teenagers are manifesting huge levels of stress. The number of young people who come to the Panda Clinic with anxiety, depression and related conditions is worryingly high.
The good news is, however, that the results when treating teenagers who are struggling physically, emotionally or psychologically can be nothing short of miraculous. Adolescence is a time of flux and this means we can harness the potential that this flux provides us with to iron out pre-existing imbalances and ensure that new ones do not develop.
There are only a handful of places remaining on the course. If you are interested, to sign up please go to: https://www.treatingchildren.com/store/xpD696cV.
This evening, I will be giving a free, live webinar for acupuncturists about treating food allergies in children with acupuncture, hosted by www.treatingchildren.com. It will be a good introduction for anyone who has paediatric patients who have allergies or intolerances to foods. I will outline:
- the main types of food allergies and intolerances
- causes of food allergies
- key pathologies seen in food allergies
- treatment of these pathologies
- practicalities of treating children with food allergies.
